How you can support The Shading Tree (Tim Atiep)

The Shading Tree (Tim Atiep) is committed to a positive approach to its work. However, there are, too often, times when circumstances go beyond the control of communities. Those who always suffer most are the women and children. Our aim is to ensure that during these times, communities have the means and the strength to work together and the confidence to make themselves and their needs understood.

The Shading Tree (Tim Atiep) is an Unincorporated Association and membership is open to anyone, over the age of 18, who is interested in furthering its objectives. Extracts from the Constitution are here.

The Shading Tree (Tim Atiep) is currently run by an interim Executive Committee made up of members of Ranald Boyle's family. The task of managing and planning the activities of the Association is the responsibility of Fergus Boyle, subject to the aims and objectives of the Association and subsequently also to the decisions of the Association members. The Executive Committee is a voluntary body and until further notice, Fergus is also acting in a voluntary capacity.

Membership fees are £25.00 ($35) per annum for individuals or £50.00 ($70) per annum for any corporate body or unincorporated association. If you are interested in joining The Shading Tree (Tim Atiep) or in making a donation, please send a cheque for the appropriate amount payable to The Shading Tree (Tim Atiep) at the address below, with a completed application form. You can print the one below or type one similar.

If you are a British taxpayer, please consider signing and sending a Gift Aid Declaration with your donation. The Declaration allows the Shading Tree (Tim Atiep) to reclaim about 28p in the pound from the Inland Revenue.

From April 2004, if you are filling in a Self Assessment Tax Return, you will be able to nominate a charity to receive some or all of your tax repayments as a donation. The Shading Tree has now been given a unique code which should be entered on your Self Assessment form in the appropriate place. Our code is RAK39QG.
